- This would be interesting to know, but why have the Couriers,
- supposedly based on the same data pump chip set, been much more
- reliable than the Sportster?
-
- I, too, am disappointed with my current Sportster Vi after having my
- 14.4K Sportster be the best modem I've owned, ever. I'm working
- current issues with USR right now. There's definitely inconsistency in
- how well the modems function that doesn't seem to correlate with ROM
- date. On my Vi, I get a few responses from people saying that theirs
- works fine (a minority of responses for sure, but enough to make me
- think there is an inconsistency in the hardware/software combo with
- hardware being the only variant). All five I had cognizance over were
- flaky on multiple computers.
